Rhinoplasty, often referred to as a “nose job”, is a time-tested surgery which changes the appearance of a patient’s nose but contouring the nasal bones and cartilage. Feminizing rhinoplasty is typically performed by reducing the size and width of the nasal bones and the cartilages which give shape to the tip of the nose. Capitalizing on our expertise in all types of rhinoplasty, we use a number of techniques to ensure that nasal breathing is not compromised during this facial feminization surgery. One thing that often surprises patients is the length of healing time it takes for the nose to settle to its final shape. While the majority of healing occurs during the first two weeks after surgery, swelling on the outside of the nose can take up to 1 to 1 ½ years to fully go away.
